Retouching
Images supplied will generally have a small amount of retouching to remove any digital defects. Any retouching required by the client can of course be performed but will be charged for, as skilled retouching takes time. If you would like to see what can be done, examples can of course be provided and requirements discussed.
Images Supplied on CD/DVD
For most shoots I will provide a CD/DVD with a selection of the best images from the shoot. I will remove from the selection any images which are deemed below standard due to people/animals blinking, blurring due to motion of people/animals moving or other undesirable effects. I will of course endeavor to provide as many usable frames from a shoot as possible. Images will be full resolution files in JPG format. They will be correctly colour tagged to enable them to be printed on the average home printer.
High Resolution images
The images I supply to clients on the CD/DVD are JPG's suitable for printing upto 16x12". They are converted to sRGB colour space, as most home printers print best from this type of file. It is also the default colour space of the web, so images are suitable for uploading to websites, facebook etc. The full size images that the camera actually produces are approx. 30Mb each in size and far bigger than is needed for most people's purposes. However, if required, they can of course be supplied. Though a charge will need to be made for the cost of the DVD and any computer time required to produce it.
Copyright
All images remain copyright Paul Tansley, however, license is given for clients to reproduce the images as many times as they require for their own personal use i.e. clients are welcome to either print the images at home or have them printed by someone else. For commercial or editorial use, please contact us before use. We do request that Paul Tansley is always identified as the Author of the images provided. So that future potential clients seeing his work can know who shot it.
Prints
Prints can be supplied at any size from passport photo up to A2. These prints are of an extremely high quality, printed on a professional level printer by Paul. They are made to the same high standard that I uses for my editorial work. You may of course use the images on your CD/DVD to make your own prints, but I cannot guarantee colour accuracy or quality of such prints. Although I will of course be available to discuss any likely issues and give some guidance on how to achieve better results at home. If you require a full set of prints from the shoot, then I can either arrange to have these printed for you by an outside company or give you advice as to where you can find competitive online services.
